Introduction

That's me rocking my favorite beanie!
It's the Malia beanie from Little Monkey's Crochet

I am Poushali.  Originally from India, we moved to USA in the year 2016.  I have spent part of my childhood in Egypt, and the later part of my teenage years in India.  I love traveling, and have visited many places, including a lot of the Middle East, China, India, Thailand and now multiple places in USA.

I have always been very much into Fine Arts, Music, Drama, Woodwork, Pottery etc.  I learnt to crochet when I was quite small from my grandmother, and she gifted me her first crochet hook.  Not having access to any patterns, I would create my own mini doilies from any yarn I could find.  Also I loved creating my own doll clothes.  Creating something new and amazing always fascinated me!

I have done my Bachelors and Masters in Technology in Computers, and professionally work as a Software Engineer.  My hobbies help me balance out my work and life, and have helped me overcome a lot of stress and anxiety about work and life in general.  At the end of the day, I love to sit with my crafting and forget about the world.

Few years back, I decided to invest quality time towards crafting, instead of doing it as a whim.  I started crocheting and learning many different techniques and styles, creating many different things such as bags, baskets, clothing, jewelry, the world was my oyster, and with a ball of yarn and a hook, I could create anything I pleased!  I was amazed at all the resources available online and all the talented and creative people out there who dedicate so much time and effort to create such beautiful things.

I am still a beginner, but would love to share my work and patterns with others.  Recently I have got a lot of requests to share my work, so here goes.  Hope through this platform I can share and learn more from all of you!
